About the Academy

Al-Haqq Foundation Academy grew out of the Al-Haqq Foundation and its masjid community on the West side of Indianapolis. The school describes itself as a primary school of knowledge and human development, and it is run by the same people who lead the prayer.

What we teach

A rigorous academic program approved by the Indiana Department of Education, with Qur’anic studies, Islamic studies, Arabic and Islamic history woven through it, so that students develop a strong foundation in both American society and Islamic principles.

What shapes an Al-Haqq education

Six things we ask of every student, and of ourselves.

  • Learning

    Curiosity is worship.

Seeking knowledge is an obligation on every Muslim. We teach children to ask, to read, and to keep going.

  • Diversity

    Every nation, one classroom.

Families from West Africa, the Middle East, South Asia and Indiana itself learn side by side. Nobody is a guest here.

  • Integrity

    Al-Haqq means the truth.

Our name is our standard. Honesty in work, in speech and in the small moments no one is watching.

  • Innovation

    Old wisdom, new tools.

Technology in every classroom and an approach to teaching that changes when the evidence does.

  • Respect

For teachers, parents and each other.

Adab before knowledge: how a student carries themselves matters as much as what they know.

  • Service

    Knowledge that gives back.

Students serve the masjid, the neighborhood and the city, because that is what the knowledge is for.

قيادةLeadership
